هدف هذا البحث إلى الوقوف على واقع الثقافة المدنية لدى طلاب كلية التربية بجامعة سوهاج، ووضع تصور مقترح لتطوير دور كليات التربية في تنمية الثقافة المدنية لدى طلابها على ضوء أهدافها، وقد استخدم الباحثان المنهج الوصفي، كما اعتمدا الاستبانة أداة لبحثهما، وقد طبقت أداة البحث على عينة قوامها (960) طالبا وطالبة من طلبة كلية التربية بجامعة سوهاج باعتبارها واحدة من أعرق كليات التربية بجمهورية مصر العربية، واقتصر البحث على أربعة مقومات للثقافة المدنية هي: المواطنة، والعمل التطوعي، وحقوق الإنسان، والثقافة السياسية. وكان من أهم نتائج البحث: وعي عينة البحث ومعرفتها بمفاهيم الثقافة المدنية ومقوماتها، وامتلاكهم لبعض المهارات المدنية بدرجة كبيرة، كالقدرة على العمل داخل فريق، بينما يمتلكون مهارات مدنية أخرى بدرجة متوسطة، كالقدرة على التعبير عن القناعات، والقدرة على نقد السياسات الخاطئة، كما يمتلكون بعض المهارات المدنية بدرجة ضعيفة، كالمشاركة في الانتخابات الطلابية، والتردد على إدارة الكلية بهدف مساعدة الزملاء، وفيما يتعلق بالقيم والفضائل المدنية، فقد جاءت قيمة "رفض التمييز بين الطلاب على أسس دينية أو اجتماعية" في المرتبة الأولى، كما أوضحت نتائج البحث وجود اتجاهات إيجابية نحو الوطن وشعورا بالفخر والانتماء إليه لدى معظم أفراد العينة، وفيما يتعلق بدور أعضاء هيئة التدريس في تنمية الثقافة المدنية لدى طلابهم، فقد أوضحت نتائج البحث أن هناك دورا إيجابيا وآخر سلبي في تنمية الثقافة المدنية لدى الطلبة فيما يتعلق بكل من: أعضاء هيئة التدريس، وإدارة الكلية، والمقررات الدراسية، وبناء على الإطار النظري للبحث، والدراسة الميدانية، ونتائج الدراسات السابقة، قدم الباحثان تصورا مقترحا لتطوير دور كليات التربية في تنمية الثقافة المدنية لدى طلابها على ضوء أهدافها.
The current study aimed at stating the factual status of civil culture among Faculties of Education students at Sohag University and suggesting a proposal for developing Faculties of Education role in the development of civil culture among its students in the light of its objectives. The two researchers utilized the descriptive method adopting a questionnaire as an instrument for their research which was administrated on (960) male and female students at Sohag Fcaulty of Education as considered one of the greatest faculties in Arab republic of Egypt. The research was delimited to the four constituents of civil culture: citizenship, volunteer work, human rights, and political culture. The results of research revealed that: the awareness of the subjects of research and their knowledge of the concepts of civil culture and its constituents and their acquisition of some civil skills to a greater extent as their ability to work in a team while they have other civil skills to a moderate extent as their ability to expressing their satisfaction and their ability to criticize the wrong policies and administrating college to help colleagues. Regarding civil value and virtues, the value of refuse differentiating among students for their religious and social bases was in the first place. Also, the results of study revealed that there is positive trends towards hometown and a feeling of belonging among most of the subjects of research . As regard the role of staff members in developing the civil culture of their students, the results of research concluded that there is a positive role and another negative one towards developing the civil culture of students regarding staff members, college administration, and courses. According the theoretical part of research, the civil study, and the results of literature review, the two researchers proposed a suggested prospective for developing the Faculties of Education role in developing the civil culture among their students in the light of its objectives.
