|f The octave rhyme or also called "the verse that tells", has often been considered the most used discursive form in Italian epic-chivalric literature between the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. These war background poems show stories of pirates, princes, sovereigns, soldiers fighting in the Mediterranean.
