|a هدف البحث الحالي إلى تقصي أثر استخدام نموذج مكارثي (MAT4) في تدريس الرياضيات على تنمية مهارات التفكير المستقبلي لدى تلاميذ الصف السادس الابتدائي، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف قامت الباحثة بإعداد اختبار مهارات التفكير المستقبلي في مادة الرياضيات وقد شمل خمس مهارات رئيسة (الاستنتاج، التنبؤ، التخيل، التوقع، حل المشكلات المستقبلية) ثم قامت الباحثة بعمل تجربة استطلاعية للتأكد من مؤشرات الصدق والثبات لأداة القياس، وقد تم تطبيق أداة القياس قبليا خلال الفصل الدراسي الثاني من العام الدراسي 2017/ 2018 على عينة البحث والتي تكونت من (86) تلميذا وتلميذه من طلاب الصف السادس الابتدائي تم توزيعهم إلى مجموعتين (تجريبية، وضابطة)، ثم تم تدريس وحدتي "الهندسة والقياس والإحصاء والاحتمال للمجموعة التجريبية بواسطة نموذج مكارثي (4MAT)، بينما تم التدريس للمجموعة الضابطة بالطريقة المعتادة، كما أعيد تطبيق أداة القياس على كلا المجموعتين بعدياً، ومن أبرز النتائج التي توصل إليها البحث وجود فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى دلالة (٠.٠١) بين متوسطي درجات تلاميذ المجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة في التطبيق البعدي لاختبار مهارات التفكير المستقبلي لصالح درجات تلاميذ المجموعة التجريبية، كما تم حساب حجم التأثير بدلالة (2η) لقيم (ت) الدالة بين التطبيق القبلي والتطبيق البعدي لاختبار مهارات التفكير المستقبلي وكانت مؤشرات حجم التأثير من النوع الكبير.

|b The objective of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of the application of the McCarthy's (4MAT) model in teaching mathematics in developing the skills of the future thinking of the sixth grade students. To achieve this goal, the researcher prepared the test of the future thinking skills in mathematics and included five main skills (inferring, prediction, imagination, expectation , Solving the future problems).and the researcher conducted a survey to verify the validity and reliability of The evaluation tools that were applied beforehand during the second semester of the academic year 2017/2018 on the sample of the study which consisted of (86) of the sixth grade students of both genders which were divided into two groups (an experimental group and a control group),the experimental group studied the units of ”Geometry and measurements” and ”Statistics and probability” according to the McCarthy's (4MAT) model, while the control group was taught according to the conventional methods. The evaluation tools were also reapplied in both of the groups afterwards. The study concluded that "there is a difference of statistical significance at (0.01) level between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group In the afterwards application to test future thinking skills in favour of the scores of the experimental group students. The effect size was calculated in terms of (η2) of the (t) values that indicates between the beforehand-application and the afterwards application to test the future thinking skills. The indicators of the effect size were of the large type.
