The purpose of the study is to get a deep understanding about how the term „diversity„ is applied in the city of Erbil's school in 1930s . As far as to the researcher 's information , no foreign and Kurdish researchers conducted a study about diversity in Erbil schools. This work focuses on the concrete and tangible reality supported by official documents that the phenomenon of the coexistence and tolerance was found in Kurdish education in 1930s: Functionally, “pupils from all social and cultural backgrounds, pupils of different ethnic groups and religions including Kurds; Turkmens; Arabs and Muslims , Christians , and Jews all live together in one school„. Therefore the major goals of this study are to explain and find out the roots of diversity in Erbil Ula school. Aptly, the current paper expected to have some amazingly and unexpected conclusions that Erbil diverge inhabited peoples that in the early thirties enjoyed a kind of liberalism and coexistence while European peoples were in war or anxiety. |
