The study aimed to know the role of Al-Quds Open University in reinforcing the Palestinian national identity and its effect on political development from the point of view of students. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, the study instrument consisting of 4 domains was distributed among a sample consisting of (359) individuals of whom (160) were male students and (199) female students from the students of Al Quds Open University, branch of the Tulkarem educational area during the first semester 2015/2016 A.D. They were randomly chosen. In order to achieve the purposes of the study, the researcher used a questionnaire consisting of (23) items distributed on four domains. The first domain aims at uncovering the role of university curricula in reinforcing the Palestinian identity and its effect on political development from the point of view of students. The second domain uncovers the role of the teaching staff. The third domain involves the role of students movements. The fourth domain uncovers the role of the university administration in reinforcing the Palestinian identity and its effect on political development. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire were verified. The researcher also used the descriptive analytical methodology because it suits the purposes of the study. The study reached results, the most important of which was that the degree of the role of Al-Quds Open University in reinforcing the Palestinian identity and its effect on political development was high. I also concluded that there are statistically significant differences at the significance level of (α≤0.05) in the degree of the role of Al-Quds Open University in reinforcing the Palestinian national identity and its effect on political development from the point of view of the students which are due to the variables of (gender, college and political affiliation). There are also statistically significant differences at the significance level of (α≤0.05) in the degree of the role of Al-Quds Open University in reinforcing the Palestinian national identity and its effect on political development from the point of view of the students which are due to the variable of residence. In the light of the results of the study, the researcher made a number of recommendations.
هدفت الدراسة التعرف إلى دور جامعة القدس المفتوحة في تعزيز الهوية الوطنية الفلسطينية وأثره في التنمية السياسية من وجهة نظر الطلبة، ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة تم توزيع أداة الدراسة، المكونة من 4 مجالات، وذلك على عينة مكونة من (359) فردا منهم (160) طالبا و(199) طالبة. من طلبة جامعة القدس المفتوحة فرع منطقة طولكرم التعليمية خلال الفصل الدراسي الأول 2015/2016م تم اختيارهم بطريقة العينة العشوائية، وقامت الباحثة باستخدام استبانة مكونة من (23) فقرة موزعة على أربعة مجالات، يهدف المجال الأول إلى الكشف عن دور المناهج الجامعية في تعزيز الهوية الفلسطينية وأثره على التنمية السياسية من وجهة نظر الطلبة، والمجال الثاني يكشف عن دور الهيئة التدريسية، أما الثالث فيبحث عن دور الحركات الطلابية، في حين أن المجال الرابع يكشف عن دور الإدارة الجامعية في تعزيز الهوية الفلسطينية وأثره في التنمية السياسية. وتم التحقق من صدق الاستبانة وثباتها، كما استخدمت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي لملاءمته لأغراض الدراسة. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى نتائج أهمها أن درجة دور جامعة القدس المفتوحة في تعزيز الهوية الفلسطينية وأثرها في التنمية السياسية كانت مرتفعة. كما توصلت الكشف عن وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (a=0.05) في درجة دور جامعة القدس المفتوحة في تعزيز الهوية الوطنية الفلسطينية وأثره على التنمية السياسية من وجهة نظر الطلبة تعزى لمتغيرات (الجنس، والكلية، والانتماء السياسي، والمستوى الدراسي (. كما أظهرت نتائج الدراسة بأنه لا يوجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (a=0.05) في درجة دور جامعة القدس المفتوحة في تعزيز الهوية الوطنية الفلسطينية وأثره على التنمية السياسية من وجهة نظر الطلبة تعزى لمتغير السكن.
