المستخلص: يعتبر تدريس اللغات الأجنبية في عالمنا اليوم في ظل العولمة والتوجهات الجديدة للاقتصاد الجزائري ضروري لتكوين مواطن جزائري قادر على التواصل مع الآخر وفرض نفسه في السوق الاقتصادية الدولية. نهدف من خلال هذا المقال إلى دراسة تواجد اللغة الإيطالية في الجزائر عبر التاريخ ومساهمتها في ميدان تعليم اللغات الأجنبية في بلادنا. سنبرز، باستنادنا على الأرقام، أهميتها كلغة عالمية ومدى انتشارها عبر العالم وبصفة خاصة في حوض البحر الأبيض المتوسط. سنتطرق بإيجاز فيما بعد إلى العلاقات بين الشعبين الجزائري والإيطالي وتأثيرها على الممارسات اللغوية في الجزائر، إضافة إلى المكانة التي تتمتع بها هذه اللغة في بلادنا. في الأخير سنتناول بعض إشكاليات تعليمها وبعض الاقتراحات المتعلقة بآفاق تدريسها في إطار السياسة الجديدة للجامعة الجزائرية.

The teaching of foreign languages in our world today in the light of globalization and the new trends of the Algerian economy is essential for the formation of an Algerian citizen capable of communicating with each other and imposing himself on the international economic market. In this article, we aim to study the presence of the Italian language in Algeria throughout history and its contribution to the teaching of foreign languages in our country. On the basis of the figures, we will highlight its importance as a global language and its prevalence throughout the world, especially in the Mediterranean basin. We will briefly discuss the relations between the Algerian and Italian peoples and their impact on linguistic practices in Algeria, as well as the status of this language in our country. Finally, we will address some of the problems of her education and some suggestions regarding the prospects of her teaching within the framework of the new policy of the Algerian University.

L’enseignement des langues étrangères aujourd’hui, à l’aire de la mondialisation et des nouvelles perspectives de l’économie nationale, est incontournable dans la formation du citoyen algérien qui doit être apte à communiquer avec les autres et à s’imposer dans le marché économique international. Cet article se fixe comme objectif l’étude de la présence de la langue italienne en Algérie à travers l’histoire et son apport dans le domaine de l’enseignement des langues étrangères. En nous référons à des statistiques, nous décrirons, d’abord, son importance en tant que langue internationale et sa diffusion, notamment dans le bassin méditerranéen. Nous aborderont brièvement, ensuite, les différents contacts entre les deux populations et leurs influences sur les pratiques linguistiques en Algérie, de la place que la langue italienne occupe dans l’enseignement des langues étrangères dans notre pays, de certaines problématiques liées à son enseignement et, enfin, de quelques propositions concernant les objectifs qu’on pourra lui attribuer dans le cadre de la nouvelle politique de l’université algérienne.
