تعد الصلاة من أعظيم العبادات وأهمها فهي صلة بين العبد وخالقه، تنفرج بها الهموم وتستجلب بها الأرزاق وتدفع بها الآفات والمصائب الملمات، ولقد كان من عظيم شأنها أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان إذا حربه أمر صلى، وجعلت قرت عينه بصلاته، ولا شك أن المحافظ على الصلاة على وقتها، والذي يتأهب لها ويستعد قبل وقتها ويحرص على عدم فوات جزء منها، هو أكثر انتفاعاً بصلاته، وتظهر آثارها على جوارحه وسلوكه. ويهدف الباحث إلى أن يكون بحثه معيناً للمسلمين وحاثاً لهم على أن يحرصوا بأن تكون صلاتهم كاملة خاشعة قرة عين لهم، وذلك من خلال وضع معايير وأسس إذا اتبعها المسلم انتفع بالصالة وأصبحت بدورها عوناً له على التحلي بالأخلاق الفاضلة والقيم النبيلة وأصبح لها أثر في سلوكه وآدابه. وسيقسم هذا البحث إلى ثلاثة مباحث، يتحدث أولها عن مفهوم إقرار العين، وذلك ببيان معنى إقرار العين في اللغة، ومعنى إقرار العين في الاصطلاح، مع إيضاح الصلة بين المعنى اللغوي والمعنى الاصطلاحي، وأما المبحث الثاني فيتحدث عن الوسائل المعينة على إقرار العين في الصلاة، وذكر فيه العديد من الوسائل التي تؤدي بدورها في جعل الصلاة قرة عين المؤمن، والمبحث الثالث والأخير ذكر فيه نماذج من أحوال السلف مع الصلاة. وينتهي البحث بخاتمة تركز على اهم النتائج التي توصل إليها الباحث، والتوصيات التي ينصح بها ويدعو إليها.
