يتلخص البحث في كيفية إيجاد علاقة بنائية تجمع بين "القيم التشكيلية والتعبيرية للخط العربي باعتباره قيمة وموروث ثقافي وطابع عربي وإسلامي ينبغي المحافظة عليه، وتطويره بشكل مبتكر، وتطويع استخداماته في مجال تصميم الحلى المعدنية، بالأسلوب الذي يعزز من قيمته، ويرفع بدوره من القيمة الجمالية والتعبيرية المضافة على الحلى، وإمكانية تحقيق القيم الجمالية للصياغات التشكيلية والتعبيرية للكتابات العربية في ضوء ما تم الكشف عنه من أساليب تشكيل تلك الأحرف في التجربة التصميمية وتطبيقها على الخامات المعدنية والمواد المناسبة، واختيار الأسلوب الأمثل الذي يعزز من قيم بناء الأحرف وحركة خطوطها بالشكل الذي يبرز من النمط المستخدم في الكتابة. واستهدفت الدراسة إيجاد صيغ بنائية مبتكره للخط العربي تعتمد على تحقيق التوافق البنائي لشكل الأحرف، والاستفادة منها في تصميم مشغولة الحلى المعدنية، ارتباطاً بالاعتبارات الوظيفية والتكنولوجية، وكيفية صياغة القيم الخطية من خلال اختيار نظم تصميم توجه كيفيات وضع العناصر أو المفردات التشكيلية التي تؤدي إلى جانب وظيفتها في البناء الخطي دوراً جمالياً، وبدورها يرتبط بوضع هذه العناصر داخل التصميم، وعلاقاتها المتبادلة بما يجاورها من عناصر تحقق القيم الفنية الكاملة، والتي تمثل الهدف الجمالي والوظيفي لمشغولة الحلى، كما وركزت الدراسة على استخدام الخط الحر في تصميم حلى منطقتي الرقبة والصدر، واختصت بدراسة تصميم حلى الإناث. وتعرضت الدراسة لكل من الجوانب الجمالية والوظيفية والتقنية، والتعرض لنظم بنائية الخط في تصميم الحلى، واشتملت تجربة البحث على تجارب هندسية مجردة لاختيار مواضع وتحديد نسب مساحة الخط في تصميم الحلى، وتجارب هندسية مجردة لاختيار المساحة التي يشغلها الخط في تصميم الحلى. إلى جانب عمل تجارب تجمع بين الخط العربي الحر وتصميم الحلى في صيغتها النهائية قبل التنفيذ. كما استفادت الدراسة من تنوع الصياغات التشكيلية لأحرف الخط لإثراء القيم الجمالية لمشغولة حلى وأمكن توظيف أحرف الخط العربي داخل نسق بنائي يفيد القيم التعبيرية في تصميم مشغولة الحلى والكشف عن سمات وخصائص الخط العربي ساعد في إيجاد علاقة توافق تجمع بين القيم التعبيرية والتشكيلية في تصميم الحلى.
