المستخلص: Alba is one of the leading smelter in the Middle East. Safety is the main aspect of Alba's work culture. The accentuation on safety has won since Alba's initiation and safety measures are frequently refreshed to meet Alba's evolving needs. The objective of this study is to improve the safety effectiveness in Alba. Maintaining safety in the industry is a tedious process. In order to maintain the safety of employees and people near the industry and environment, Alba has implemented safety measures. The safety measure implemented must be effective. Effective safety measures reduce accidents. The purpose of safety measure is to ensure the safety of employees, people and environment. Effective safety measure can reduce or eliminate accidents. A questionnaire was prepared to gather information from the employees of Alba. The sample size of the study was 325. The data gathered through questionnaire was analyzed using SPSS software. T-test was conducted to identify the relationship between the safety dimensions and safety effectiveness. From the T-test it was found that there exist a relationship between the safety dimensions and safety effectiveness. It is found that workplace safety is effective in ALBA. It can keep on improving its safety effectiveness by using new techniques and providing necessary safety training to its employees periodically. First line supervisors communicate safety information to the employees. Safety information is available to the responsive and proactive workers to meet their personal safety goals. When the safety messages are simple it works effectively without detail overload, an organization can deliver safety related messages.. On other hand, time was the major constraint of the study as it was very limited. Therefore, only five safety indicators were assessed in this study.
