المستخلص: The cross-cultural applicability of diagnostic criteria for mental disorders as currently specified in the DSM.5 is the subject of much debate. Concerns include the possible status of these disorders as syndromes related to Western culture and the validity of these criteria in non-Western cultural settings. This article examines different types of intercultural validity criteria for these disorders as defined in the DSM.5, and presents preliminary options and recommendations to be considered for clinical practice in Algeria. From the research that has been carried out on the links between culture and diagnosis, we will examine the cultural facets that may limit the universal applicability of the diagnostic criteria for these disorders as defined in the DSM and the CIM (its applicability in the Algerian culture, in the case of this article). Substantial evidence of the intercultural validity of certain diagnostic criteria has been found. However, evidence of intercultural variability in Western psychiatric practice suggests the need for further research regarding clinical practice in Algeria

Notre réflexion, dans cet article, porte sur la dimension interculturelle qui préoccupe toute interrogation ayant trait à l’enseignement-apprentissage des langues étrangères, vu qu’elle permet de créer un climat favorable à l’apprentissage et de tisser des liens solides entre les apprenants issus de cultures différentes sans se soucier de leurs origines, leurs confessions, leur nationalité ou même leur couleur de peau. L’objectif est d’amener les étudiants à appréhender les cultures étrangères à travers l’intégration et l’exploitation efficace des textes littéraires , à manifester la volonté de dépasser toute sorte de préjugé et de malentendu possibles et d’acquérir une compétence interculturelle par le biais d’une culture humaine, plurielle et universelle répondant aux besoins de la collectivité et du système éducatif entre autre le système algérien.
