إن إعداد العقول المفكرة المبدعة يتوقف على مدى توافر المنبهات والمثيرات في البيئة فإن معظم الأفراد في الأداء يحتاجون بالضرورة إلى تحفيزهم واستشارتهم لأداء العمل المناط بهم عن طريق تعرضهم إلى مجموعة من المنبهات، وان معرفتنا بالاستشارات الفائقة لطلبتنا والأساليب المستخدمة في معالجة المعلومات وتفضيلاتهم الحسية يساعد على فهم الصعوبات الأكاديمية التي يواجها بعضهم كما يوفر الأسس الموضوعية التي تكفل التغلب على هذه الصعوبات أو التخفيف عنها، هذا فضلا عن أن رصيد الواقع السيكولوجي والتعليمي لطلبتنا هو إضافة لرصيدنا المعرفي وهم رجال المستقبل المبدعين في مواجهة التحديات وبناة المجتمع. فالبحث الحالي يهدف إلى التعرف إلى:- الاستثارات الفائقة والتفضيلات الحسية لدى الطلبة المتميزين، والفروق الذات الدلالة الإحصائية تبعا لمتغير الجنس. وطبيعة العلاقة الارتباطية بين الاستثارات الفائقة والتفضيلات الحسية لدى الطلبة المتميزين. تكونت عينة البحث من (500) طالبا وطالبة من المرحلة المتوسطة الأول والثاني والثالث وبواقع (323) طالبا و(177) طالبة من ثلاثة ثانويات في الرصافة الثانية. تم إعداد مقياس الاستثارات الفائقة بما يتلاءم والتطور التكنلوجي وعالم الافتراضيات مع الوقت الحاضر ونحن في عام 2017 مع تطلعات الجيل الجديد، وتطبيق مقياس فارك ARK للتفضيلات الحسية - الإدراكية المطبق من قبل مطر 2011 بعد التأكد من ترجمة مع أجراء بعض التعديلات ليتلاءم مع عينة البحث والذي يتكون من أربعة مقاييس فرعية (بصري - سمعي - قرائي - كتابي - حركي) وكل فقرة تتكون من أربعة بدائل (أ، ب، ج، د) وبعد معالجة البيانات إحصائيا تم التوصل إلى أن الطلبة المتميزين والمتميزات يمتلكون استثارات فائقة في (النفسحركية، والحسية، والتخيلية، والعقلية، والانفعالية) ولا توجد فروق بين الجنسين، كما توصل البحث إلى أن الطلبة المتميزين والمتميزات يتمتعون بالتفضيل الحركي والسمعي اكثر من التفضيل القرائي والبصري وان الذكور اكثر من الإناث، بينما يميلن الإناث إلى التفضيل القرائي اكثر من الذكور ولا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بينهم في التفضيل السمعي والبصري، وجود علاقة طردية بين الاستثارات الفائقة والتفضيل الحركي وعلاقة عكسية مع التفضيل القرائي. وفي ضوء نتائج البحث وضعت الباحثة جملة من التوصيات والمقترحات.
