المستخلص: This study attempted to investigate the effect of games on EFL grammar learning for EFL primary six pupils. To achieve this, two intact classes were chosen randomly from the Egyptian governmental primary schools in Menoufia Governorate during the first term of the 2016-2017 school year, and assigned into an experimental group (N=40) and a control group (N=40). The experimental group pupils learned using games, whereas the control group pupils learned according to their traditional method based on repetition and memorization, following their regular set course (Time for English, Primary Six). The two groups were tested before and after conducting the experiment on the grammar achievement pre-posttest. Data obtained were logged and analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences software program SPSS, version 21. The t-test for independent and paired samples was used to compare means of scores of the two groups on the posttest and also to compare means of scores of each group on the pre and posttest. The results confirmed the effectiveness of using games on EFL grammar learning for primary six pupils’ EFL grammar. Conclusions, pedagogical implications and suggestions for further research were provided in the light of the study results.
