|a تبذل كل أمة متحضرة أقصى ما في طاقاتها للعناية بالأطفال فهم أملها ومستقبل حياتها، فالاهتمام بالأطفال هو اهتمام بالمستقبل، وأدب الأطفال هو أهم الآداب جميعاً باعتباره الموجه للجيل الصاعد وغارس العادات ومقوم التربية والأخلاق. وعلى الرغم من الجهود التي بذلت من أجل رفع مستوى أداء أدب الأطفال إلا أن غالبية الدراسات والبحوث والمؤتمرات واللقاءات الأدبية تشير إلى أن أدب الأطفال لم يحظ بنصيب وافر من الاهتمام الكافي. واستخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي، حيث يتناول موضوع الدراسة بالوصف والتحليل، ومعالجته من خلال المصادر المعتمدة وجمع كافة المعلومات. وتتعدد الأشكال الفنية التي يصدر من خلالها أدب الأطفال سواء من حيث وسائط التعبير أو فنون التعبير، من حيث وسائط التعبير هناك الكتاب وهناك الصحافة والمجلات وهناك المسرح وهناك البرامج الإذاعية والتليفزيون وغيرها. أما من حيث فنون التعبير الشائعة في أدب الأطفال فهناك القصة وفن الشعر والكتاب والمسرحية.
