المستخلص: يهدف البحث الحالي إلى تحسين مستوى الأداء الأكاديمي للطلاب متبايني التحصيل وفي تنمية التفكير التأملي وعادات العقل المنتجة لدى الطلاب، وتنمية المهارات العقلية للمتعلمين، وتحقيق التعلم بكفاءة، والتعامل مع المعلومات من مصادرها. كما إن التفكير التأملي يوجه العمليات العقلية إلى أهداف محددة، يعني انه نشاط عقلي هادف لحل المشكلات. وأكدت الدراسات السابقة على أن التفكير التأملي يعد من أرقى أنواع التفكير. وقد حازت عادات العقل المنتجة على اهتمام العلماء مع بدايات القرن الحادي والعشرين.

Reflective thinking directs mental processes towards specific objectives i.e. it is a problem solving-oriented mental activity. Previous studies emphasized that reflective thinking is among the highest types of thinking. The productive habits of mind have drawn the attention of scholars With the beginning the twenty-first century. They undertake major roles in the education process; they help to develop learners’ menta skills, achieve efficient learning and handle information from their sources. Differentiated, instruction is the process of instruction to and learning of students with varying levels of achievement. Research Problem Diverse strategies should be employed to contribute to improving the academic level of students of varying levels of achievement and to developing the students’ reflective thinking and productive habits of mind. Therefore, the research problem is stated in the main following question: How can differentiated instruction be used in developing the reflective thinking and productive habits of mind for the first-year secondary stage students with varying levels of achievement of geography.
