المستخلص: Learning medical terminology is a major feature having French as a means of communication. Learning vocabulary is about the ability to memorize words and guess meaning in the service of a context. The teaching of medical terminology seeks to assimilate knowledge of medical etymology by Latin and Greek vocabulary. At the paramedical level, professional teachers communicate with a language appropriate to the field, adopting a specific approach and methodology. The aim of this article is to highlight the linguistic characteristics of the specialty language, namely medical terminology. This area takes on a specific didactic approach which aims to facilitate the teaching / appropriation process and which has a dual communicational and also Professional purpose.

L’apprentissage de la terminologie médicale constitue une particularité majeure ayant le français comme moyen de communication. Apprendre le vocabulaire vise l’aptitude à mémoriser les mots et à deviner le sens au service d’un contexte. L’enseignement de la terminologie médicale cherche à assimiler des connaissances de l’étymologie médicale par le vocabulaire latin et grec. Au niveau du paramédical, les enseignants professionnels communiquent avec une langue appropriée au domaine adoptant une démarche et une méthodologie spécifique. Cet article se donne pour objectif de mettre en évidence les caractéristiques langagières de la langue de spécialité à savoir la terminologie médicale. Ce domaine revêt une didactique spécifique ayant pour enjeu de faciliter le processus d’enseignement/appropriation, qui a une double finalité communicationnelle et aussi professionnelle.
