المستخلص: يهدف الباحث في هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على التخطيط الاستراتيجي في مؤسسات المعلومات في دولة الكويت من خلال تصميم استبانة خصيصا لهذا النظر والتعرف من خلالها عن وضع التخطيط الاستراتيجي في مؤسسات المعلومات في دولة الكويت وقد تكون مجتمع الدراسة من العاملين في المكتبات جامعة الكويت وقد بلغ عدده (98) موظفا وموظفة. وقد بينت نتائج الدراسة أن هناك نسبة 44,9% من الأفراد يرون أن التخطيط الاستراتيجي يحقق أهداف مؤسسة المعلومات يحقق رسالة المكتبة وقد أوصى الباحث مؤسسات المعلومات في دولة الكويت وتحديد أهداف التخطيط الاستراتيجي وربطها بأهداف مؤسسة المعلومات والتحول من نموذج الأداء إلى النموذج الأداء الحديث ومشاركة جميع العاملين بالمؤسسة في عملية التخطيط.

ln this study, the researcher aims at identifying Strategic Planning in information institutions in the State of Kuwait through conducting a questionnaire for this purpose. This questionnaire clarified the status of Strategic Planning in Information institutions in the State of Kuwait. Research population consisted of employees of libraries in Kuwait University (98) employees (males - females). The results showed that a percentage of 44.9 % of individuals see that the strategic planning achieves the objectives of Information Institution and achieves the library message. The researcher recommended that the Information Institutions in the State of Kuwait should determine the purposes of strategic planning and correlate them to the purposes of Information Institution, altering from the performance form to new performance form and involve all the institution staff in the planning process. Results 1- Clarity of the concept of strategic planning for employees and coaches in information institutions at Kuwait University. 2- (20,4 (%of the respondents believe that strategic planning is a method for making crucial decisions within the library. 3- A percentage (44.9%) of the respondents believe that strategic planning achieves the goals of the information institution. 4- It turns out that (55.1%) of the sample members support that there is to provide capabilities in university libraries and equipment to implement strategic planning commensurate with the organizational structure. 5- Library buildings at Kuwait University are appropriate in terms of are and capabilities for implementing strategic planning. 6- He sees (53.1%) of the study sample view that a senior management believes in strategic planning and sees the readiness of the information institution in terms of all material and human resources. 7- It is clear to us that the percentage (46.9%) of the community members believe that those who carry out strategic planning within.
