فكرة هذه الدراسة تدور حول محور الرقابة الذاتية لدي مستخدمي وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي وأهميتها ووسائل وطرق تعزيزها، وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى أن وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي قضية لابد من التعامل معها بإيجابية وتوظفيها في الاتجاه الصحيح، وإلا ستكون نتائج إهمال توظيفها وخيمة على الفرد والأسرة والمجتمع، وأن الرقابة الذاتية هي الشرطي المقيم بداخل كل فرد لتوظيف حياته في مسارات صحيحة تخدمه وتخدم المجتمع، وتسير به نحو التماسك والبناء الحضاري. ولاشك أن تعزيز هذه القيمة لدى مستخدمي وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي المتنوعة ينقلها من مستوى السلب إلى المستوى الإيجابي بكل تفاصيله، ويجعل المستخدم لها عنصر بناء داخل المجتمع، ولا شك أن البحث عن المعززات الروحية كالتذكير بالله والتخويف من النار، وسوء العاقبة في الدنيا والأخر مما يعزز مبدأ الرقابة الذاتية لدى مستخدمي وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، وإن الدور الذاتي الذي يمكن أن يقوم به الفرد في تعزيز هذه القيمة بداخله ستسهم بشكل كبير في تحصين جدار القيم لديه، وتجعل من استعماله لهذه الوسائل من أهم المصادر والمنافذ المعرفية الفعالة التي ستساعد في تنميته معرفيها ومهاريا، ومجمل القول: إن الرقابة الذاتية لدى مستخدمي هذه الوسائل المتنوعة والمتعددة يحتاجون إلى معززات روحية كثيرة، وهي تحتاج المجتمع لتنفيذها، لأن هذه الشريحة الكبيرة من المجتمع إذا اعتمدت على مخزونها الروحي سينفذ مهما كان كبيرا، فهذه الوسائل بما صوحبت من مشوقات تنحت في ذلك المخزون حتى ينتهي.
