|a هدف البحث إلى معرفة فاعلية نموذج ويتلي في تدريس الجغرافيا لتنمية مهارات التفكير المستقبلي لدى طلاب المرحلة الثانوية، وطبق البحث على عينة من طلاب الصف الثاني عشر الثانوي الأدبي، وتم تقسيمهم إلى مجموعتين تجريبية بلغ عددها (٣٥) طالب، وأخرى ضابطة وعددها (٣٥) طالب، وقام الباحث بإعداد اختبار مهارات التفكير المستقبلي، تم التأكد من صدقه وثباته. وأظهرت نتائج البحث وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطي درجات المجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة في اختبار التفكير المستقبلي لصالح المجموعة التجريبية، مما يدل على فاعلية نموذج ويتلي في تنمية متغير البحث.

|b The research aimed to know the Effectiveness of Using Wheatley Model in Geography Teaching to Develop Future Thinking Skills for High School Students, The research was applied on sample of 12th grade literary students, The sample is divided randomly into two groups, experimental group numbered (35) students and control group numbered (35) students. The researcher prepared future thinking skills test, whose validity and reliability were insured, The research results indicated that there are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups in the future thinking test in favor of the experimental group, These results indicated the effectiveness of Wheatley model in developing the research variable.
