المستخلص: The importance of this study lies in presenting a special critical view towards modern critical theories, Western approaches and how to apply them to an Arabic text, taking into account the problem of underestimating modern and contemporary critical discourse, and not being impressed with the culture of the other at the expense of the original Arab civilization. As for the aim of this study, it is to monitor the features of the critical vision from which the novelist Radwa Ashour was launched, to monitor the features of modernity and how to apply them with a modernist vision and new artistic tools for old heritage elements, topped by the place, describing the novel, the narration of the lost place and paradise, and the contemporary problematic issues and topics it raised It still haunts the contemporary Arab man. Based on the relationship between the traditional theories of Arab criticism and the theories of contemporary Arab criticism, and its influence with Western critical theories, through the movement of personality in place, ana¬lyzing the text and adapting to its nature, questions, and concepts. And that is through a complex linguistic approach that belongs to a (sociotechnical) approach that returns the historical and social phenomenon to its roots and does not isolate the personality from its reality. It monitors the writer’s concept of modernity and antiquity.

تكمن أهمية هذه الدراسة في تقديم رؤية نقدية خاصة تجاه النظريات النقدية الحديثة، والمناهج الغربية وكيفية تطبيقها على نص عربي، آخذين في الاعتبار النظر في إشكالية ترهين الخطاب النقدي الحديث والمعاصر، وعدم الانبهار بثقافة الآخر على حساب الحضارة العربية الأصيلة. أما هدف هذه الدراسة، فيكمن في رصد معالم الرؤية النقدية التي انطلقت منها الروائية رضوى عاشور لرصد معالم الحداثة، وكيفية تطبيقها برؤية حداثية وأدوات فنية جديدة لعناصر تراثية، يتصدرها المكان، بوصف الرواية، رواية المكان والفردوس المفقود، وما أثارته من قضايا وموضوعات إشكالية معاصرة، ما تزال تؤرق الإنسان العربي المعاصر، استنادا على العلاقة بين النقد العربي القديم والحديث المعاصر، وتأثرهما بالنظريات النقدية الغربية، وذلك من خلال رصد حركة الشخصية في المكان، وتحليل النص والتكيف مع طبيعته وأسئلته ومفاهيمه، عن طريق منهج لساني مركب ينتمي إلى مقاربة (سوسيو ثقافية)، يرد الظاهرة التاريخية والاجتماعية إلى جذورها ولا يعزل الشخصية عن واقعها، للبحث عن مفهوم الكاتبة للحداثة والقدامة. حيث دعت الكاتبة إلى إعادة قراءة التراث برؤى عصرية واعية.
