المستخلص: يعالج هذا البحث قضية أساسية وهي تطور نظرية الترجمة في فترات عدة وكيف تبلورت إلى مبحث جديد استرعى انتباه الكثير من المهتمين في هذا الشأن من منظرين وأدباء وفلاسفة وأكاديميين. تناولنا في البحث أبرز الأفكار والنظريات المؤثرة في بلورة محاولات منهجية للخروج بصياغة ترسم ملامح هذا المبحث الجديد سواء كعلم مستقل أم كمبحث لغوي أتخذه اللغويون المنهج الرئيس في مقارباتهم المقارنة بين الأبنية اللغوية للغات المختلفة. توجه بعض المنظرين المدافعين عن قضية الترجمة لصياغة محاور رئيسية يعتمد عليها في دراسة ونقد الترجمة معتمدين على الأبحاث السابقة كما على تجاربهم الشخصية كمترجمين.

Cette recherche traite de la question fondamentale de l'évolution de la théorie de la traduction à plusieurs époques et de son élaboration en une nouvelle discipline qui a attiré l'attention de nombreux intéressés de traduction : spécialistes, théoriciens, écrivains, philosophes et universitaires. Nous avons abordé dans la recherche les idées et les théories les plus importantes influant sur la formulation de tentatives systématiques pour formuler les traits de ce nouveau sujet, soit en tant que science indépendante, soit en tant que recherche linguistique abordée par les approches des linguistes autant qu’une méthodologie contrastive dans les structures des divers langues. Certains théoriciens, défendant la question de la traduction, ont demandé à énoncer les principaux axes sur lesquels on compte pour étudier et critiquer une traduction à partir de recherches précédentes et de leurs expériences personnelles en tant que traducteurs.

This research addresses the fundamental question of the evolution of translation theory over several eras and its development into a new discipline that has attracted the attention of many translation stakeholders: specialists, theorists, writers, philosophers and academics. We have addressed in the research the most important ideas and theories influencing the formulation of systematic attempts to formulate the features of this new subject, either as an independent science or as linguistic research addressed by the approaches of linguists as much as a contrastive methodology in the structures of the various languages. Some theorists, defending the question of translation, have asked to state the main axes on which one relies to study and criticize a translation based on previous research and their personal experiences as translators.
