Through translation¸ the great parts cultural features are transmitted from the original text to the translated one. The translator tries to cover some gaps by depending on adaptation via using notes ¸for example, and other techniques. In this article, we suggest the techniques used by GALLAND to translate the work “one thousand and one nights” for covering gaps and transmitting ideas. | ||
| 520 | |d La traduction est une opération linguistique mais également littéraire ainsi que culturelle. Quand on traduit un texte, il se produit toujours, dans une plus ou moins grande mesure, un transfert culturel qui ne peut recouvrir les mêmes données dans les deux langues. Le traducteur doit par conséquent rattraper ces décalages et introduit une phase d’adaptation dans son opération pour compenser ce déficit d’information. Cette compensation des effets langagiers et culturels fait l’objet du présent article qui traite la question d’adaptation dans le recueil des mille et une nuits traduit par GALLAND. On aborde, les opérations d’adaptations auxquelles procède le médiateur lors de sa traduction de l’oeuvre. | ||
