المستخلص: The phenomenon of academic delay is considered one of the serious problems that educational institutions suffer from because of its negative repercussions on the individual and society. It was and still is of interest to many researchers, as it has been studied and analysed from different sides, both in terms of defining its concept or in terms of searching for strategies to treat it. Therefore, in this article, we will try to define the concept of academic delay and the concepts associated with it, and then address the strategy of the Algerian school in treating it. L’échec scolaire est un problème qui touche plusieurs établissements. Il a un impact négatif sur l’individu et la société. Il était le centre d’intérêt des chercheurs et reste encore. Ils l’ont défini et cherché ses facteurs pour le résoudre. A partir de ces constatations nous proposons dans cet article de: définir d’abord le concept de l’échec scolaire et certains concepts qui y sont liés. Ensuite; nous aborderons ses facteurs sociaux à travers une analyse sur le terrain de ce problème. Enfin; nous exposerons les stratégies de l’école algérienne pour le résoudre.

تعتبر ظاهرة التأخر الدراسي من المشكلات الخطيرة التي تعاني منها المؤسسات التربوية لما لها من انعكاسات سلبية على الفرد والمجتمع إذ كانت ولا تزال محل اهتمام العديد من الباحثين إذ تم تناولها بالدراسة والتحليل من جوانب مختلفة، سواء من حيث تحديد مفهومها أو من حيث البحث عن استراتيجيات لعلاجها. لذلك سنحاول في هذا المقال تحديد مفهوم التأخر الدراسي والمفاهيم المرتبطة به، ثم التطرق لاستراتيجية المدرسة الجزائرية في علاجه.
