المستخلص: The subject of this study is the psychological interface in the study of hardship and destruction of books when modernists, Between theory and practice. It came in an introduction, two papers, and a conclusion As for the first topic, it was devoted to study the phenomenon of hardship among the modernists, and made it in four demands. I have dealt with these demands the meaning of hardness in the novel language and terminology, as studied the causes of hardship in the novel, and its impact, and concluded this article with results to identify this phenomenon, and explain the real reasons. The second topic was devoted to the study of the phenomenon of destruction of books by the modernists, and it also made it in four demands, stating the reasons and motives that prompted the scientists to destroy their books, and explained their methods in that. As I mentioned most of the names of those who damaged his books himself, or who left a will to destroy his books, and this has been explained by a table that includes their names. Then concluded the study of this subject to talk about the impact of this phenomenon on the novel

موضوع هذه الدراسة هو من الواجهة النفسية في دراسة العسر وإتلاف الكتب عند المحدثين، بين النظرية والتطبيق. ولقد جاءت في مقدمة، ومبحثين، وخاتمة. فأما المبحث الأول فقد خصصته لدراسة ظاهرة العسر عند المحدثين، وجعلته في أربعة مطالب. وقد تناولت في هذه المطالب معنى العسر في الرواية لغة واصطلاحا، كما درست أسباب العسر في الرواية، وأثرها، وختمت هذا المبحث بنتائج تستبين بها هذه الظاهرة، وتوضح الأسباب الحقيقية لها. كما خصصت المبحث الثاني لدراسة ظاهرة إتلاف الكتب عند المحدثين، وقد جعلته كذلك في أربعة مطالب، فبينت فيها الأسباب والدوافع التي دفعت العلماء لإتلاف كتبهم، ووضحت أساليبهم في ذلك. كما ذكرت معظم أسماء من اتلف كتبه بنفسه، أو من ترك وصية لإتلاف كتبه، وقد وضحت ذلك بجدول تضمن أسماءهم. ثم ختمت دراسة هذا المبحث بالحديث عن أثر هذه الظاهرة على رواية الحديث.
