الحمد لله رب العالمين، والصلاة والسلام على خير معلم وأمين، محمد المبعوث رحمة للعالمين، وعلى آله الطيبين الطاهرين، وصحبه الغر المنتجبين. تعد مهنة التعليم رسالة مقدسة ومهمة راقية برقي أصحابها وبقيمة الرسالة التي تحملها، ألا وهي إعداد جيل طيب يتحمل الأمانة التي ستلقى على كاهله من أجل تصحيح مسارات المجتمع والوصول به إلى القمة، وما زالت الدراسات والبحوث في هذا الموضوع غير معمقة وتحتاج إلى كشف الستار عن كثير من جوانب هذه المهنة (مهنة التعليم) وأخلاقياتها؛ لنرقى بمجتمعنا الإسلامي إلى المستوى الحضاري الملائم، فعمدنا إلى دراسة هذا الموضوع ليكون مدخلا لرجوع الناس وطلاب العلم والعلماء، ولا سيما من الذين يمتهنون هذه المهنة (التعليم)؛ لما فيه من النفع المفيد. لذا كان اختياري لعنوان البحث (أخلاقيات مهنة التعليم عند الإمام غلي بن أبي طالب (عليه السلام)، فتراث أهل البيت (عليهم السلام) مدرسة جامعة لشتى فروع المعرفة الإنسانية، وقد قدم هذا التراث المعرفي الأجوبة والحلول على مدى القرون المتتالية لمشاكل الإنسان والحياة في مختلف المجالات، ومن أهم الموضوعات التي احتواها هذا التراث هو المنهج التربوي والتعليمي. وقد قسمت البحث على مجموعة مباحث، سبقت بتمهيد تناولت فيه تعريف المهنة والأخلاق والتعليم لغة واصطلاحا، وجاءت المباحث بالحديث عن حياة الإمام علي (عليه السلام)، والجانب التربوي في فكره (عليه السلام)، وملامح الفكر التربوي عند الإمام علي (عليه السلام)، وأخلاقيات مهنة التعليم عند الإمام علي (عليه السلام)، ومسؤوليات التعليم عند الإمام (عليه السلام)، وآداب المعلم والمتعلم، وختمت البحث بأهم النتائج التي توصلت إليها، فظلا عن قائمة بالمصادر والمراجع وملخص باللغة الإنجليزية.
