المستخلص: السرد البسيط الذي ظهر بعد الرواية الجديدة يحاول إعادة تنشيط اللغة والرواية عن طريق تأليف وتقليد بعض الأدب القصصي. وقد وصف النقاد هذا النهج الجديد للكتابة كمفهوم للأدب ما بعد الحداثة. إذ يحاول كاتب ما بعد الحداثة الانسحاب من المجتمع للسفر في عالمه الداخلي. السخافة، الغموض والتشاؤم هي مصطلحات يستخدمها النقاد لوصف أدب ما بعد الحداثة. في هذه المقالة، وبعد تحديد معنى السرد البسيط، نفسر الاختلافات والتشابهات بين هذا التيار الأدبي والرواية الجديدة. بعد ذلك، نحاول عرض آليات الكتابة السردية في رواية (الحمام) للكاتب "جان فيليب توسان". حيث أن هيكل بناء هذا العمل يتأرجح بين جملة واحدة وبضع صفحات. بالنسبة للقارئ الحديث ، فإن قراءة رواية توسان، وهو مؤلف بسيط من القرن العشرين، يمكن أن تكون صادمة. يكسر هذا المؤلف الخطية من خلال تحطيم المكان والزمان. إن خصائص أسلوب توسان تدمر خصائص الرواية الواقعية. يضاف إلى ذلك اللغة التي تساعد على تفتيت التاريخ وتدميره.

The minimalist narrative, which appeared after the "New Roman (Novel)", attempts to revitalize the language and the novel. This new approach to novel writing is qualified by critics as a concept of postmodern literature. The postmodern author tries to withdraw from society in order to be able to travel to his inner world. Wandering, absurdity and ambiguity are terms that regularly come under the pen of critics when it comes to characterizing postmodern literature. In this article, after defining the meaning of the minimalist narrative, we compare the differences and the similarities of this literary current with the New Roman. Then, we try to show the narrative mechanisms in La Salle de Bain by Jean–Philippe Toussaint. The fragmented structure of this work oscillates between a single word and a few pages. For the modern reader, reading the novel by Toussaint, a 20th century minimalist author, can be shocking. This author breaks linearity by shattering space and time. The characteristics of Toussaint's style destroy those of the realistic novel. In addition, the novel's language helps the fragmentation of history and causes its demolition.

Le récit minimaliste, qui est apparu après le Nouveau Roman tente de revitaliser la langue et le roman. Cette nouvelle approche d'écriture romanesque est qualifiée par les critiques comme un concept de la littérature postmoderne. L'auteur postmoderne tente de se retirer de la société pour pouvoir voyager dans son monde intérieur. L'errance, l'absurdité et l'ambiguïté sont des termes qui reviennent régulièrement sous la plume des critiques quand il s'agit de caractériser la littérature postmoderne. Dans cet article après avoir défini le sens du récit minimaliste, nous comparerons les différences et les similitudes de ce courant littéraire avec le Nouveau Roman. Ensuite, nous essayons de montrer les mécanismes narratifs dans La Salle de bain de Jean–Philippe Toussaint. La structure fragmentée de cette oeuvre oscille entre un seul mot et quelques pages. Pour le lecteur moderne, la lecture du roman de Toussaint, auteur minimaliste du XXe siècle, peut être choquante. Cet auteur brise la linéarité en faisant éclater l'espace et le temps. Les caractéristiques du style de Toussaint détruisent celles du roman réaliste. A cela s'ajoute le langage qui aide la fragmentation de l'histoire et cause sa démolition.
