"This is a translation of a linguistic topic entitled “Problems with Parallel Structures” present in a book published in 2003. The book is known as Longman Preparation Courses for the TOEFL Test; the Paper Test by Deborah Phillips. The importance of translating this topic stems from the fact that it contributes to transferring it into Arabic in order to help undergraduate students when writing, as it addresses style and balances words and phrases in the English sentence in terms of subject methodology. The author reviewed the main themes of the term “balance” by tracking the problems that occur in the sentence, whether at the level of noun, verb, adjective, sentence level, or comparison between phrases. In terms of translation, the paper was divided into three themes: introduction, topic, and results. The introduction includes the introduction of the topic, the need for translation, the objectives of translating this topic, the difficulties faced by the translator, and the methodology followed by the author. The translated text has been transferred from the original source into Arabic honestly and accurately. The results include feedback from the subject, recommendations, and the conclusion. Perhaps the main purpose of translating this topic is to add a new topic to the university library to benefit students and researchers and to keep pace with educational development in teaching translation.
