المستخلص: استهدف البحث تعرف فاعلية وحدة مقترحة في التاريخ قائمة على احتياجات الطلاب الوافدين بالمرحلة الثانوية الأزهرية في تنمية التحصيل المعرفي وقيم التعايش مع الأخر، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف؛ تم إعداد قائمة باحتياجات الطلاب الوافدين بالمرحلة الثانوية الأزهرية، وتضمنت (365) احتياجا فرعيا، مندرجة تحت (9) مجالات رئيسية، وتم تحليل المنهج في ضوئها. وتبين من نتائج التحليل أن هذه الاحتياجات متوفرة بنسبة (33.8%) فقط، وتم إعداد قائمة بقيم التعايش مع الآخر اللازمة للطلاب الوافدين بالمرحلة الثانوية الأزهرية، وإعداد مواد المعالجة التجريبية المتمثلة في الوحدة المقترحة في التاريخ القائمة على احتياجات الطلاب الوافدين بالمرحلة الثانوية الأزهرية، ودليل المعلم لتدريسها، واتبع البحث المنهج الوصفي والمنهج شبه التجريبي تصميم المجموعة الواحدة ذي القياس القبلي والبعدي، وتكونت عينة البحث من (25) طالبا، وبعد دراستهم للوحدة المقترحة، وتطبيق أدوات البحث المتمثلة في (اختبـار التحصيل المعرفي، ومقياس قيم التعايش مع الآخر بمكوناته الثلاثة "المعرفي، والوجداني، والسلوكي") قبليا وبعديا، تم التوصل إلى وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطي درجات عينة البحث في التطبيقين القبلي والبعدي لاختبار التحصيل المعرفي، ومقياس قيم التعايش مع الآخر بمكوناته الثلاثة لصالح التطبيق البعدي؛ مما يؤكد فاعلية الوحدة المقترحة في التاريخ القائمة على احتياجات الطلاب الوافدين بالمرحلة الثانوية الأزهرية في تنمية التحصيل المعرفي، وقيم التعايش مع الأخر، ويوصي البحث بضرورة بناء مناهج التاريخ للطلاب الوافدين بما يتناسب مع طبيعتهم، وخصائص نموهم، واحتياجاتهم، وربطها قدر الإمكان بمشكلات وقضايا مجتمعاتهم.

The purpose of the current study was to identify the effect of a proposed unit in history based on the needs of foreign students at Al- Azhar secondary stage on developing cognitive achievement and the values of coexistence with the other. To fulfill this purpose, the researcher has prepared: (1) a list of foreign students needs including (365) sub needs, listed under (9) main areas, and the curriculum was analyzed in light of them. The results of the analysis revealed that these needs are available at a rate of (33.8%) only, (2) a list of values of coexistence with the other that are necessary for foreign students at Al-Azhar secondary stage, (3) and developed the materials of the study, namely: the proposed unit in history based on the needs of foreign students at Al-Azhar secondary stage and a teacher's guide to teach it. The research adopted the descriptive and quasi-experimental designs, a pretest-posttest one-group design. Participants of the study comprised (25) students. After studying the proposed unit and administrating the study instruments (the cognitive achievement test, the scale of coexistence values with the other, the results showed that there was statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the participants of the study in the pre and post applications of cognitive achievement test, and the scale of coexistence values with the other favoring of the post application, which indicated the effectiveness of the proposed unit in history based on the needs of foreign students at Al-Azhar secondary stage on developing cognitive achievement and the values of coexistence with the other. The study recommended designing the history curricula for foreign students in accordance with their nature, characteristics of their growth, and their needs, and linking them as much as possible to the problems and issues of their societies.
