المستخلص: In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, we carry out online learning; this research aims at investigating the wash back effect of testing on teaching and learning online. Teaching and learning grammar online have an immense wash back effect. The current study aims at investigating this effect both on the students' learning grammar online and on the teachers' teaching practices. Also, to decide the nature of wash back effect of online testing whether, it is positive or negative. According to Messick (1996, P: 241) the term wash back means the most important concept in applied linguistics, by referring to the influence of the test on the language teachers and learners. The current study hypothesizes the following: 1. Teaching grammar in face-to-face class is better than teaching it online. 2. In case of teaching grammar online, using power point and Google classroom app support the process of teaching. 3. The use of Google Form in students' testing as a means to facilitate the testing process for both teachers and students at the same time. 4. The effect of wash back by using Google Form app in testing students is positive. The research questions are how to teach and study grammar during online class? What is the wash back effect of online test in online grammar class?
