|a تستخدم الجمارك الجزائرية نظام معلومات يسمى نظام الإعلام والتسيير الآلي للجمارك "SIGAD" والذي تم تطويره داخليا منذ أكثر من عقدين من الزمن، ويعود تاريخ بداية استعمال نسخته الأولى في سنة 1995. وهو مصدر المعلومات الوحيد الموجود في الجزائر المتعلق بالتجارة الخارجية، يتيح نظام SIGAD الإدارة المحوسبة لعملية الجمركة، كما يزودنا بإحصاءات عن التجارة الخارجية للبلاد، والتي يتم إرسالها بشكل منتظم إلى السلطات، من أجل اتخاذ قراراتها الاقتصادية. لكن النظام الجديد جاء بكثير من الفوائد منها زيادة مستوى التوجه نحو الرقمنة وكذا زيادة مستوى الشفافية في المعاملات.
|b Algeria Customs is still using an information system called “SIGAD” (Customs Information and Automated Management System), which was developed in-house over two decades ago, with its first version being rolled out in 1995. The only existing information source on Algeria’s foreign trade, SIGAD provides the computerized management of the Customs clearance process and produces statistics on the country's foreign trade, which are forwarded on a regular basis to the authorities, in order to inform their economic decision making. But, The new Customs information system will be rolled out gradually over a period of three years. Some of the advantages of the new information system include: ex digitizing all Customs procedures and, in so doing, removing the discretionary power of Customs agents, guaranteeing the transparency of operations."
