المستخلص: تتناول الدراسة التي تحمل عنوان (أزمة الهوية وصعوبات الاندماج في رواية "ميدان النجمة" لباتريك موديانو) بحث بطل الرواية عن هويته والذي يقوده إلى الرجوع إلى أصوله من خلال الذاكرة. في هذه الرواية التي تعد باكوره الإنتاج الأدبي للكاتب، يضع المؤلف البطل في وسط مليء بالتخبط حيث يواجه العديد من المشكلات بسبب هويته اليهودية التي يضطر أحيانا لإخفائها من أجل إنقاذ حياته. وفضلا عن ذلك، نقوم بإبراز مظاهر أزمة الهوية التي تقود البطل لعملية بحث دائم عن الذات حيث يشعر البطل، الذي بلا جنسية، بشعور دائم بالاستبعاد يحيل بينه وبين كل محاولة للاندماج مع المجتمع الفرنسي. في أثناء دراستنا، نقوم بإلقاء الضوء على المعوقات التي تمنعه من هذه العملية. سنقوم كذلك بدراسة أعمال العنف التي تقوم بها الشخصية المحورية في الرواية من أجل الثأر من هذا المجتمع الذي يلفظها. كما سنوضح تأثير والد الكاتب على أعماله الأدبية ولا سيما دوره الكبير في الرواية موضوع الدراسة. ومن الجدير بالذكر أننا لاحظنا أن موديانو استخدم فترة الاحتلال الألماني لفرنسا كإطار زمني للرواية؛ هذه الفترة التاريخية التي لم يعاصرها الكاتب الذي ولد في 1945. معتبرا نفسه نتاج هذه الحقبة، نجد أن موديانو يلجأ إلى ذاكرته لتجسيد مشاعر اليهود في هذه السنوات الصعبة التي لم يعشها.

Dans notre recherche intitulée « Crise identitaire et difficultés d’intégration dans La Place de l’Étoile de Patrick MODIANO » nous aborderons la quête identitaire du protagoniste qui passe obligatoirement par la recherche des origines à travers la mémoire. Dans son premier roman, l’écrivain installe le héros dans un univers d’intense agitation qui distingue sa fiction romanesque. Il affronte de multiples problèmes à cause de son identité juive qu’il devra parfois dissimuler pour survivre. D’ailleurs, nous soulignerons les manifestations de cette crise identitaire qui mène le héros à une inlassable quête. Apatride, il éprouve un sentiment permanent d’exclusion qui empêche toute tentative d’assimilation à la société française. Nous mettrons également en relief les obstacles entravant ce processus. En outre, nous étudierons les actes violents commis par le personnage principal en vue de se venger de cette société qui le rejette. D’autre part, nous mettrons en lumière l’influence du père de l’auteur sur sa production littéraire, qui se manifeste notamment dans le corpus objet d’analyse. Ayant utilisé la période de l’Occupation comme cadre temporel, ce roman porte les traces des années sombres auxquelles l’auteur n’a pas assisté. Se considérant comme un produit de cette époque-là, il recourt à la mémoire pour reproduire les sensations de cette période terrible où il n’a pas vécu.

The study, titled "Identity Crisis and Difficulties of Integration in the Novel 'Etoile Square' by Patrick Modiano," delves into the protagonist's quest for identity, leading him back to his origins through memory. In this debut literary work by the author, the protagonist finds himself in a situation of confusion, facing challenges due to his Jewish identity, which he sometimes conceals to preserve his life. The study highlights the manifestations of the identity crisis, prompting the protagonist, a stateless individual, to engage in a continual process of self-discovery. The constant sense of exclusion impedes his attempts to integrate into French society. Throughout the study, obstacles hindering this integration process are emphasized. The research also explores the acts of violence carried out by the central character as a form of revenge against the society that rejects him. Furthermore, the influence of the writer's father on his literary works, particularly his significant role in the novel under examination, is explained. It is noteworthy that Modiano utilizes the period of the German occupation of France as the novel's historical backdrop, even though he did not experience this period himself, being born in 1945.
