المستخلص: تهدف الدراسة إلى توضيح مسألة الجمع بين صلاتي الجمعة والعصر، وهي من المسائل المهمة التي تخالفت فيها الآراء وكثر فيها اللغط، لملامستها واقع الناس وحياتهم اليومية بشكل متكرر، وكون صلاة الجمعة ليست كصلاة الظهر. ومما تفضل الله تعالى به على عباده أن جعل للتكاليف الشرعية في السفر والمرض والمطر وما فيه من مشقة عليهم، وضعا خاصا وأداء خاصا، فبينت هذه الدراسة ماهية الجمع والقصر بين الصلاتين وحكمه، ومن أجاز ومن منع من الفقهاء الجمع بين صلاة الجمعة وصلاة العصر ومناقشة أدلتهم وأثر ذلك الخلاف، وتم ترجيح جواز جمع الجمعة مع العصر جمع تقديم، لأن وقت صلاة الجمعة هو وقت صلاة الظهر؛ ابتداء وانتهاء.

This study aims at clarifying the issue of combining Friday and Asr prayers. It is one of the significant issues in which opinions differ and confusion is caused because it touches the reality of people and their daily lives on a frequent basis, and also due to the fact that the Friday prayer is not like the Dhuhr prayer. Among the favors that Allah Almighty bestowed upon His servants is permitting of special ways to perform religious obligations in certain cases as that of travel, sickness, rain, and cases that cause any kind of difficulty upon them. Therefore, this study elucidated what combining and shortening of two prayers really are and mentioned their ruling. It also mentioned the jurists who legalized combining the Friday prayer with the Asr prayer and those who prohibited it, discussing their evidence and the impact of that disagreement. Finally, the view considered to be preponderant was that it is permissible to combine the Friday prayer with the Asr prayer but as an advanced combining because the time of the Friday prayer is exactly the same as the Dhuhr prayer; in its commencement and ending.
