المستخلص: قامت العلاقات بين تركيا وسورية منذ وقت مبكر باعتبارها دولة جارة، واهتمت تركيا بتوطيد العلاقات معها، لكن الكثير من العوامل أثرت في طبيعة هذه العلاقات، فمنذ إعلان قيام الجمهورية التركية عام 1923 من قبل مصطفي كمال أتاتورك، أخذ بترسيخ مبدأ "الانعزالية" في السياسة الخارجية لتركيا تجاه العالم العربي، والانفتاح بشكل كامل على الغرب، وفي عهد خليفته عصمت إينونو دخلت العلاقات التركية -السورية منعطفا تاريخيا كبيرا من خلال ضم لواء اسكندرون إلى الأراضي التركية، وكان ذلك بداية لمرحلة طويلة من العلاقات المتوترة بينهما، وأسهمت قضايا أخرى مشتركة في زيادة التوتر ووصوله في بعض المراحل حد الصراع، وتتلخص قضايا التأثير الرئيسة هذه في ثلاث: "قضية لواء اسكندرون، قضية المياه المشتركة، القضية الكردية"، واستمرت هذه العلاقات بين توتر وخلافات حتى عام 1998 حيث تم توقيع اتفاق أضنة بين الجانبين، وشكل نقطة تحول في العلاقات نحو التقدم والتطور حتى قيام الثورة السورية عام 2011، حيث وقفت تركيا إلى جانب الشعب السوري في الحرية ونيل حقوقه المشروعة، مما أعاد الصراع مع الحكومة السورية. لذلك يدرس هذا البحث السياق التاريخي للعلاقات التركية -السورية، والعوامل التي أثرت في طبيعة هذه العلاقات، وتقديم رؤية مستقبلية تخدم مصالح البلدين والشعبين معا.

Relations between Turkey and Syria have been established since an early age as a neighboring country, and Turkey has been interested in consolidating relations with it, but many factors have affected the nature of these relations. Turkey towards the Arab world, and openness completely to the West, and during the era of his successor Ismet Inonu, Turkish-Syrian relations entered a major historical turning point by annexing the Iskenderun Brigade to Turkish territory, and this was the beginning of a long period of tense relations between them, and other common issues contributed to increasing tension At some point, it reached the point of conflict. These main issues of influence are summarized in three: "The Iskenderun District issue, the joint water issue, and the Kurdish issue." These relations continued between tension and disagreements until 1998, when the Adana Agreement was signed between the two sides, and it constituted a turning point in relations towards progress and development until the outbreak of the Syrian revolution in 2011, when Turkey stood by the Syrian people in freedom and obtaining their legitimate rights, which re-established the conflict with the government. Syrian. Therefore, this research studies the historical context of Turkish-Syrian relations, the factors that affected the nature of these relations, and presents a future vision that serves the interests of both countries and peoples.
