المستخلص: يهدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة دور تكنولوجيا المعلومات في كيفية تحقيق أبعاد التنمية المستدامة (الاقتصادية والبيئية والاجتماعية) في قطاع المستشفيات الذي تبرز فيه أهمية تطبيق تكنولوجيا المعلومات (المتغير المستقل) في المستشفيات مما يؤثر على تطوير أدائها وأداء العاملين باستخدام التقنيات الحديثة وبالتالي المساهمة في الحفاظ على موارد المستشفى بالإضافة إلى مسئوليتها تجاه المجتمع الداخلي (العاملين والمرضى) والخارجي (البيئة الخارجية للمستشفيات) التي تمثل (عناصر المتغير التابع) التنمية المستدامة(وذلك من خلال التعريف بعناصر تكنولوجيا المعلومات والتنمية المستدامة وأهميتهما، دراسة العلاقات الارتباطية والتأثيرية بين متغيري البحث تكنولوجيا المعلومات والتنمية المستدامة.، والوقوف على الجوانب المهمة التي تؤكد العلاقة والترابط بين التنمية المستدامة والتكنولوجيا ودور البحث العلمي والمؤسسات العلمية والتدريب في معالجة المشكلات البيئية وتوظيف التكنولوجيا في خدمة أغراض التنمية المستدامة، ومن خلال عمل دراسة استطلاعية للوقوف على مظاهر المشكلة والتي أظهرت عدم إدراك العاملين للعلاقة بين تطبيق تكنولوجيا المعلومات وتطوير الأداء وضرورة الحفاظ على موارد المستشفى واستخدامها بشكل فعال حيث تم وضع مجموعة من التساؤلات والفروض تم الإجابة عليها من خلال عينة البحث التي بلغ عددها (609) مفردة تم اختيارها من العاملين بالمستشفيات (طبيب- هيئة التمريض- الإداريين) (مجتمع الدراسة) حيث تم التوصل من خلال إجابات عينة البحث إلى مجموعة من النتائج من خلال استخدام برامج التحليل الإحصائي إلى وجود علاقة إيجابية بين تكنولوجيا المعلومات، وتحقيق أبعاد التنمية المستدامة (الاقتصادية- البيئية- الاجتماعية) من خلال تطبيق تكنولوجيا المعلومات وتقديم خدمة جيدة للمرضى وتحقيق الرضا للعاملين، والحفاظ على موارد المستشفى من خلال استخدام التقنيات الحديثة مثل (المكتب اللاورقي) والتواصل عبر الإنترنت بين العاملين، كما توصل البحث إلى مجموعة من التوصيات لعل أبرزها ضرورة إقناع الإدارة العليا بأهمية استخدام تكنولوجيا المعلومات ونشر هذه الثقافة في المنظمة، توفير المصادر التمويلية اللازمة للتطبيق وما يترتب عليه من تغيير البنية التحتية وتدريب العاملين على استخدام تقنيات العمل الجديدة وإزالة كافة المعوقات التنظيمية والإدارية.

This research aims to study the role of information technology in how to achieve the dimensions of sustainable development (economic, environmental and social) in the university hospital sector, which highlights the importance of applying information technology (the independent variable) in hospitals, which affects the development of their performance and the performance of employees using modern technologies, the following is the contribution to maintaining the hospital’s resources in addition to its responsibility towards the internal community (workers and patients) and the external (the external environment of hospitals), which represents (the elements of the dependent variable) (sustainable development) by identifying the elements of information technology and sustainable development and their importance, Studying the correlational and influencing relationships between the research variables, information technology and sustainable development, and standing on the important aspects that confirm the relationship and interrelationship between sustainable development and technology, the role of scientific research, scientific institutions and training in addressing environmental problems and employing technology to serve the purposes of sustainable development. and through the work of an exploratory study To find out the manifestations of the problem, which showed the workers’ lack of awareness of the relationship between the application of information technology and performance development and the need to preserve and use hospital resources effectively.(Doctor-Nursing Officials- Administrators) (Study Population) Where it was reached through the answers of the research sample through the use of statistical analysis programs to the existence of a positive relationship between information technology and achieving the dimensions of sustainable development (economic- environmental- social) through the application of information technology and providing good service to patients and achieving satisfaction for workers, and maintaining Hospital resources through the use of modern technologies such as (paperless landfill) and communication via the Internet between employees. The research also reached a set of recommendations, perhaps the most prominent of which is the necessity of persuading senior management of the importance of using information technology and spreading this culture in the organization, providing the necessary funding sources for implementation and the consequent change of infrastructure, training of workers to use new work techniques, and removing all organizational and administrative obstacles.
