المستخلص: يتطرق البحث الحالي لقضية تربوية وإدارية مهمة، قضية تعني باقتراح تطبيق نظام مجلس الأمناء بجامعة الأمير سطام بن عبدالعزيز في ظل التحول لنظام الجامعات الجديد، وما يمكن أن يحققه من أهداف تربوية وتعليمية، وإدارية، حيث مشاركة مجلس أمناء مختار بعناية في إدارة جميع شؤون الجامعة في ظل تخصصاتهم وتوزيع عادل للأدوار، مما يزيد من قدرة الجامعة على إدارة موارد ها في إطار ديموقراطي بعيد عن أية ضغوط، وقرارات فردية، وذلك انطلاقا مما يهدف إليه تطبيق نظام جامعات السعودية الجديد من اعتماد الجامعات ومؤسسات التعليم كافة على مواردها الذاتية وابتكار موارد ومصادر جديدة مما يساهم في التقليل من أعباء الدولة في عملية التمويل، وفي نفس الوقت يعطي الجامعة الاستقلالية والحرية في اتخاذ قراراتها وتوفير ما تحتاجه لخدمة وتحقيق رؤيتها ورسالتها، وأهدافها. ولتحقيق الهدف الأساسي للبحث تم تطبيق استبانة لمعرفة الواقع الحالي للجامعة فيما يتعلق بالنظام المتبع لإدارة جامعة الأمير سطام بن عبد العزيز، وأيضا التصور المقترح لتطبيق مجلس الأمناء في ظل نظام الجامعات الجديد، مستخدما في ذلك المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، ومعتمدا على مجموعة من الإجراءات التفصيلية، وصولا لنتائج البحث في ضوء تساؤلاته.

The current research deals with an important educational and administrative issue, an issue concerned with the proposal to implement the system of the Board of Trustees at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University in shadow of the transformation of the new university system, and what it can achieve in terms of instructional, educational, and administrative goals, where a carefully selected board of trustees participates in managing all the affairs of the university in The shadow of their specializations and a fair distribution of roles, which increases the university’s ability to manage its resources in a democratic framework away from any pressures and individual decisions, based on what aims to implement the new Saudi university system from the dependence of all universities and educational institutions on their own resources and the creation of new resources and sources of diverse income. Which contributes to reduce the country's burdens in the financing process, and at the same time gives the university independence and freedom to make its decisions and provide what it needs to serve and achieve its vision, mission, and goals. To achieve the main objective of the research, a questionnaire was applied to know the current reality of the university with regard to the system followed for the administration of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, as well as the proposed vision for the application of the Board of Trustees under the new university system, using the descriptive analytical approach, and based on a set of detailed procedures, up to the results of the research in the light of its questions.
