Challenges of Distance Education in Light of Corona Virus "COVID-19" Pandemic from the View Point Mathematics Teachers in the Primary Stage in Jordan: A Case Study

المستخلص: The current study aimed at identifying the most notable challenges of distance education in light of the corona virus Pandemic (COVID-19) from the Viewpoint Mathematics Teachers in the Primary Stage in Jordan, The study data were collected through semi-open interviews from (24) male and female teacher who are teaching the Mathematics subject in the primary stage in public schools affiliated to the Education directorates of Mafraq governorate. After analyzing the study data, the responses of the study members on distance education were classified into four main categories are as the following order: Technical challenges, that are most important of which the weakness and interruption of the Internet network which is the base in distance learning process, whereas this domain gained a percentage reached (92%), then challenges related to the educational process and programs that are most important of which: The difficulty of adjusting the mechanism of evaluating the students’ performance in the academic subject, whereas ensures justice, freedom, transparency, and diversity in utilizing the different evaluation tools, as this domain gained a percentage reached (86%). In addition to that, challenges related to dealing with students that are most important of which: Some students abstention from attending and following up lessons and doing their home-works distantly, as this domain gained a percentage reached (83%), then challenges related to teachers themselves that are most important of which: Weakness qualification of teachers in using distance learning, as this domain gained a percentage reached (76%).
