520 |b The study examines the degree to which university faculty members use technology in teaching English and teachers' attitudes toward technology implementation in universities. For this purpose, quantitative research methodology has been adopted with primary data collection through a survey of English teachers at Jizan University in Saudi Arabia. A questionnaire was constructed using the expectancy-value theory to gauge the expectancy, value, and cost factors associated with teachers' technology implementation. The questionnaire consisted of twenty-seven belief items that were written both positively and negatively. The negative statements were reverse coded for analysis to draw coherent and accurate results. In this study, it has been found that the expectancy of success as a result of technology implementation and improvement in the quality of education contributes highly to technology integration. Perceived value and increased personal use of computers by the teacher are also important issues for implementing and integrating technology. Most frequently practical uses are informative, instructional, and analytic, ensuring teachers use technology in the Lecture halls.
