المستخلص: Through the prism of geocriticism, we will analyse in this article the representation of Algiers in Azouz Begag’s Le Passeport by focusing on the relation of the ‘beur’ author to the space of reference, the preponderance of the visual dimension in the text, the spatial heterogeneity, as well as the proper names assigned to the novel’s places and characters.

Sous le prisme de la géocritique, nous analyserons dans cet article la représentation de la ville d’Alger dans Le Passeport d’Azouz Begag, en nous focalisant sur le rapport de l’auteur « beur » à l’espace de référence, la prépondérance dans le texte de la dimension visuelle, l’hétérogénéité spatiale, ainsi que les noms propres attribués aux lieux et aux personnages du roman.
