This is derived from the views of English language teachers on the importance of using phonetic methods to enhance the ability to read in English among second-graders in Islamic schools in Diyala province. Problems associated with middle school students in obtaining the ability to listen in English have been documented, and these problems are due to the teacher, student, curriculum, teaching methods, and teaching methods. The researcher used the descriptive approach. The research sample included (80) English language teachers in Diyala region. The researcher used the questionnaire as a data collection tool; this will provide the necessary data to answer the research questions. The investigation was of great importance: the overall percentage of the axis dedicated to the importance of linguistic teaching methods (52.7%), which means that English language teachers realize the value of employing linguistic methods to enhance the reading skill of second-graders in Islamic schools in Diyala. There are statistically significant differences in teachers' estimates of the difficulty of developing the ability to read in English among second-grade intermediate students in Islamic schools in Diyala Governorate according to the variables: academic degree and number of years of teaching experience. There are problems between teacher and student, including lack of vocabulary. English, as well as a negative attitude towards English. There are problems with the curriculum due to the lack of audio-aids associated with the classroom, as well as problems with the method of instruction, including the lack of special laboratories focused on the English language. The research concluded with suggestions, the most important of which are: conducting additional research on the effectiveness of audio learning techniques on different samples at different ages, and providing middle schools with language laboratories that facilitate the teaching of English.
