| 520 | |b Taking the form of a series of graded monthly tests, continuous summative assessment has been adopted for years in Algerian schools, particularly in the primary cycle since the 2005 school year as part of the reforms of the education system. Seen as “heavy” homework or even among the causes of failure of the learner, this series of compositions was contested by the parents until the guardianship gave it up. We return through this article to this mode of evaluation, to its didactic principles, its objectives as well as to its usefulness in the classroom and especially to the Algerian experience in this area; and this, in order to dissipate the confusions concerning this subject and to try to correct certain ideas. |d Prenant la forme d’une suite d’épreuves mensuelles notées, l’évaluation sommative continue a été adoptée pendant des années à l’école algérienne notamment au cycle primaire depuis l’année scolaire 2005 dans le cadre des réformes du système éducatif. Vues comme des devoirs « pesants » voire même parmi les causes d’échec de l’apprenant, cette suite de compositions a été contestée par les parents jusqu’à ce que la tutelle y renonce. Nous revenons à travers le présent article sur ce mode d’évaluation, sur ses principes didactiques, ses objectifs ainsi que sur son utilité en classe et surtout sur l’expérience algérienne en la matière ; et ce, dans le but de dissiper les confusions concernant ce sujet et tenter de corriger certaines idées. | ||
