المستخلص: The current study aimed to identify the steps in diagnosing reading difficulties among a sample of fourth-grade students and reveal various aspectsof reading challenges. The field study took place at the Al Abdi Mouhamed Elementary School in Khemis Miliana, Ain Defla Province, Algeria, with a sample of 17 students. . Diagnostic tools included Fathi Al-Zayat's Reading Difficulty Diagnostic Scale (2007), John Raven's Intelligence Test (1998),and the Overt Reading Test by Sharfouh Al-Bashir (2006). Results indicated that reading difficulties are prevalent among fourth-grade students at a rate of 23.61%. The most common reading difficulties were identified as addition, followed by deletion.
