المستخلص: The study sought to achieve the following objectives: To identify the theoretical foundations of human factors engineering. Identify the theoretical foundations of adult education programs. Identify the role of human factors engineering in adult education programs. The researchers used the inductive method, and the study reached results, including: The importance of human factors engineering in the designs of machines and equipment in the work environment is evident, as it has a positive impact on the sustainability of work within organizations, as it maintains the physical condition of workers, and enables them to practice work in the correct way that maintains on their physical structure. It was also found that the most prominent dimensions of human factors engineering are the organizational dimension, the human dimension, and the environmental dimension as dimensions of the current study. So that it is possible to take advantage of these dimensions in studying the relationship between human factors engineering and adult education programs, using various methodological tools, and the following is a table prepared by the researcher summarizing the dimensions of human factors engineering. It can be said that human factors engineering plays an effective role in adult education programs, as it contributes to improving the absorptive capacities of the elderly, by providing a suitable learning environment for them, and enabling them to carry out the practical practice of the curricula, in addition to avoiding health damage that may result from sitting incorrectly. The researcher sees the need to pay attention and take into account the dimensions of human factors engineering when designing education programs for adults, because of its high efficiency in preserving the health of students and taking into account the health capabilities of the elderly, as well as improving the absorptive capacities of the elderly, and adult education programs are of great importance as they contribute to the development of workers and the weight of their skills, and improve the general culture of community members.
