|a حاولنا في بحثنا هذا تسليط الضوء على المستشرق الفرنسي دو سلان واكتشافه لمخطوطة ابن خلدون (المقدمة). وذلك بالتعريف أولا بالمستشرق دو سلان حياته وتوجهاته، ثم أهم منشوراته من التراث المخطوط، وتقييم جهوده بشأن التراث المخطوط، وكيف اكتشف مقدمة ابن خلدون، وكيف ساهم في إخراجها إلى النور. وقد وجدنا أنه كان له الفضل في خدمة إرثنا التاريخي وذلك بالترويج له وإيصاله للعالم الأوربي. وذلك بترجمته لمقدمة ابن خلدون إلى الفرنسية وجعلها في متناول جميع العلماء والباحثين حتى وإن كانوا من غير المسترقين.
|b We shed light on the French orientalist de Slane and his discovery of Ibn Khaldūn’s manuscript by first, defining the orientalist de Slane, his life and orientations, then, citing the most important publications of the manuscript heritage. Next, we evaluate his efforts on the manuscript heritage, then, how did he discover Ibn Khaldūn’s Muqaddimah and how he contributed to bringing it to the European light. We found that he was a credit to serving our historical legacy by promoting and delivering it to the European World. In which he translated Ibn Khaldūn's Muqaddimah into French and made it accessible to all scholars and researchers.
