|a تتجلى فلسفة الجسد الحداثية عبر وضع الجسد في سياقه الثقافي والحضاري الذي أنتجه فضاء ما بعد الحداثة وأفقها المعرفي الواسع الذي يسعى إلى خلخلة الأسس الفلسفية العقلانية عبر التشكيك في أسسها المعرفية ومقولاتها العقلانية الراسخة، ولعل من أبرز هذه الأسس المعرفية وضع الجسد في مرتبة هامشية وسلبية ومتدنية، فهو موضع الخطيئة، ومنبع الغرائز واللذات والشهوات لأنه كينونة بايولوجية وحسية فقط، بينما أعلت من شأن العقل وجعلته في منزلة ثقافية رفيعة، لأنه مصدر الحكمة والإلهام والتفكير، لذلك حاولت فلسفة الجسد محاورة هذه التصورات العقلانية وطرح منظورها المعرفي المغاير المستند إلى تصورات ما بعد الحداثة.
|b The modern philosophy of the body emerges from placing the body within the cultural and civilizational context shaped by postmodernism and its expansive epistemological framework. This framework seeks to destabilize the foundations of rational philosophical thought by critically examining its principles and established categories. A key aspect of this critique is the relegation of the body to a marginal, negative, and inferior status, often viewed as a site of sin and the source of instincts, pleasures, and desires, reducing it to a mere biological and sensory entity. In contrast, the intellect is exalted to a higher cultural status, perceived as the source of wisdom, inspiration, and thought. Consequently, the philosophy of the body aims to engage with these rational perceptions and offer an alternative epistemological perspective rooted in postmodern theories. This approach challenges traditional views of the body, advocating for a more nuanced understanding of its significance and complexity within human experience and identity.
