المستخلص: هدف البحث إلى الكشف عن درجة توفر متطلبات تحول مؤسسات التعليم العالي في المملكة العربية السعودية إلى جامعات مستدامة في ضوء الأبعاد التالية: قيادة مستدامة تعلم مستدام، بحوث مستدامة، شراكة مستدامة، وحرم مستدام)، وعن وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات استجابات أفراد البحث حول درجة توفر تلك المتطلبات تعزى لمتغيري (الجامعة المنتسب لها، المنصب الإداري). ولتحقيق أهداف البحث تم تطبيق المنهج الوصفي المسحي وقياس حجم أثر المتغيرات التابعة على المستقلة، وتطبيق الاستبانة كأداة للبحث. وتكون مجتمع البحث من (٣٧٥) قائد أكاديمي ينتسبون إلى كل من الجامعات السعودية الآتية: (جامعة الملك عبد العزيز، وجامعة الملك سعود، وجامعة الإمام عبد الرحمن بن فيصل، وجامعة الباحة، وجامعة الجوف)، وممن يشغلون المناصب الإدارية الآتية: (عميد كلية؛ ووكيل كلية)، وتألفت عينة الدراسة من (١٩٥) قائدًا أكاديميًا بواقع (٥٠) عميد كلية، و (١٤٥) وكيل كلية. وتوصل البحث إلى أن درجة توفر متطلبات تحول مؤسسات التعليم العالي في المملكة العربية السعودية إلى جامعات مستدامة مرتفعة، وجاء ترتيب الأبعاد بحسب درجة التوفر كالتالي: (شراكة مستدامة، قيادة مستدامة، تعلم مستدام، بحوث مستدامة، ثم حرم مستدام). كما توجد فروق دالة إحصائيا لمتطلبات تحول مؤسسات التعليم العالي إلى جامعات مستدامة من وجهة نظر القيادات الأكاديمية تعزى إلى الجامعة المنتسب إليها لصالح جامعة الملك عبد العزيز، وللمنصب الإداري الحالي لصالح عمداء الكليات. وبناء على النتائج جاء من أبرز التوصيات: عقد اتفاقيات شراكة مع المؤسسات والمبادرات العالمية الداعمة للاستدامة في التعليم العالي لتحديد معايير ومؤشرات مقننة لقياس وتقيم أداء الاستدامة في الجامعات، والتوسع في استحداث برامج دراسية متخصصة بالاستدامة في مختلف الدرجات العلمية فيها.

The research aimed to reveal degree of availability of requirements for transformation of higher education institutions in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia into sustainable universities in view of the following dimensions: (sustainable leadership, sustainable learning, sustainable research, sustainable partnership, and sustainable campus), and presence of statistically significant differences between averages of responses of research individuals about the degree of availability of those requirements due to two variables: (university they are affiliated with, administrative position). To achieve objectives, descriptive survey approach was applied and size of the impact of dependent variables on independent ones was measured, and questionnaire was used as a research tool. The research community consisted of (375) academic leaders affiliated with each of the following Saudi universities: (King Abdelaziz University, King Saud University, Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University, Al-Baha University, and Al-Jouf University), and those who occupy the following administrative positions: (Dean of the College, and College vice Dean) .The study sample consisted of (195) academic leaders, including (50) collage deans, and (145) collage vice-deans. The research found that the degree of availability of requirements for the transformation of higher education institutions in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia into sustainable universities was high, and the order of dimensions according to the degree of availability was as follows: (sustainable partnership, sustainable leadership, sustainable learning, sustainable research, then sustainable campus). Also, there are statistically significant differences in the requirements from the perspective of academic leaders attributed to the university to which they are affiliated, in favor of King Abdulaziz University, and to the current administrative position in favor of college deans. Based on the results, one of the most important recommendations came to conclude partnership agreements with global institutions and initiatives that support sustainability in higher education to define standards and indicators to measure and evaluate sustainability performance in universities, and to expand the development of study programs specialized in sustainability in various degrees at them.
