المستخلص: هدف هذا البحث إلى التعرف على دور مدير المدرسة في تحسين البيئة المدرسية بمدارس مرحلة التعليم الأساسي في مدينة درنة ما بعد الفيضان من وجهة نظر المعلمين، ومعرفة ما إذا كانت هناك فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين استجابات أفراد العينة حول دور مدير المدرسة في تحسين البيئة المدرسية تعزى لمتغيرات (الجنس، فترة الدوام الدراسي، سنوات الخبرة)، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة استخدم المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتم استخدام الاستبيان كأداة لجمع المعلومات، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (160) معلم ومعلمة تم اختيارها بأسلوب العينة العشوائية البسيطة، وكشفت نتائج الدراسة أن دور مدير المدرسة فيما يتعلق؛ بصيانة المبنى المدرسي ومرفقاته، وفي تجهيز المعامل وأماكن الأنشطة المدرسية والمسرح المدرسي بالمعدات والأدوات اللازمة، وبالجانب الترفيهي جاء بدرجة ضعيفة، ودوره فيما يتعلق بالجوانب الإدارية والفنية التعليمي جاء بدرجة متوسطة، بينما دوره فيما يتعلق بالجوانب الاجتماعية والرعاية الصحية والنفسية وعلاقة المدرسة بالمجتمع المحلي جاء بدرجة متوسطة وقريبة للضعيفة. كما أظهرت النتائج وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين استجابات أفراد العينة حول دور المدير فيما يتعلق بالجوانب المادية تعزى لمتغير الجنس، وعدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا حول دوره فيما يتعلق بالجوانب الإدارية تعزى لمتغيري الجنس والخبرة، ووجود فروق بين استجابات أفراد العينة حول دور المدير في تحسين البيئة المدرسية تعزى لمتغير فترة الدوام الدراسي.

This study aimed to investigate the role of head teacher in improving the school environment in the stage of basic education schools in Derna city after the flooding disaster from the point of view of teachers, and to found out if there were any statistically significant differences between the responses of participants regarding the role of head teacher in improving the school environment due to the variables of “gender, study period, and years of experience”. Descriptive analytical approach was employed, and a questionnaire was used as the main approach to collecting data, from sample's individuals, a sample study consists of (160) male and female teachers, who were selected using a simple random sample method, the findings of the study revealed that the role of head teacher with regard to the maintenance of the school building and its facilities, and in equipping laboratories, school activity areas, and the school theater with the necessary equipment and tools, and in the entertainment aspect, came to a weak degree, and his role with regard to the administrative and technical aspects of education came to a moderate degree, while his role in relation to the aspects; social, health and psychological care, and the school’s relationship with the local community were moderate and close to weak. The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences between in the responses of participants regarding the role of the head teacher with regard to the physical aspects due to the gender variable, and there were no differences between the responses of participants with regard to administrative aspects due to the variable of gender and experience, and the presence of statistically significant differences between the responses of participants regarding the role of the head teacher in improving the school environment due to the variable of study period.
