هدفت الدراسة إلى الاستفادة من مجتمعات التعلم وتطبيقاتها في بعض الجامعات الأمريكية في مواجهة مشكلات الطلبة بالجامعات المصرية، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف عرضت الدراسة الأساس النظري الذي تستند إليه مجتمعات التعلم في الفكر التربوي المعاصر، كما حددت الدراسة طبيعة العلاقة التي تربط مجتمعات التعلم بالأداء الأكاديمي لطلبة الجامعات، واستعرضت الدراسة خبرة بعض الجامعات الأمريكية المتميزة في تطبيق نماذج مجتمعات التعلم، كما قامت الدراسة بالوقوف على واقع المشكلات التي تواجه الطلبة بالجامعات المصرية. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى مجموعة من النتائج أبرزها: أن هناك بعض المشكلات التي أثرت سلباً على أداء طلبة الجامعات المصرية مثل: افتقاد المنهج الجامعي لخصائص المنهج المتكامل، وطرق التدريس التقليدية، وضعف مشاركة الطلبة داخل الجامعة، والأعداد المتزايدة، وعدم وجود برامج توعية للطلبة المستجدين. ولمواجهة هذه المشكلات استعانت الدراسة بالإطار التنظيري، وخبرة بعض الجامعات الأمريكية في تطبيق مجتمعات التعلم؛ لوضع تصور مقترح يمكن أن يسهم في مواجهة هذه المشكلات.
The study aimed to benefit from learning communities and their applications in some American universities in addressing the problems that students face in the Egyptian universities and to achieve this aim the study showed the theoretical framework that the learning communities based on in the current educational thought. The study identified the relationship that links learning communities to the academic performance of the university students. The study showed the experience of some American universities which are outstanding in implementing learning communities models. The study also identified the problems that the university students face. The study revealed some results including that there are some problems that impacted negatively on the performance of the students of some Egyptian universities like the university curriculum lack to the characteristics of an integrated approach, the traditional teaching methods, the poor participation of the students inside the university, the growing number of students and the lack of awareness programs for the freshman students. To address these problems, the study used the learning communities theoretical framework and the experience of some American universities in setting a proposal that can contribute in facing these problems.
