The researcher developed three main instruments in order to fulfill the objectives of the study: the critical reading skills checklist, the pre-post test of critical reading skills, and a suggested program for developing EFL prospective teachers' critical reading skills. The results Of the study revealed that. There was a statically significant difference at 0.05 level of significance between the mean scores of the pre and post application of the EFL student teachers' performance on the critical reading skills test in favor of the post application. This means that the suggested program was effective for developing EFL prospective teachers' critical reading skills.
