استراتيجية تدريسية قائمة على خرائط التفكير لتنمية المفاهيم الجغرافية ومهارات التفكير الجغرافي لدى تلاميذ المرحلة الإعدادية

المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة إلى التحقق من فاعلية استراتيجية تدريسية قائمة على خرائط التفكير لتنمية المفاهيم الجغرافية ومهارات التفكير الجغرافي لدى تلاميذ المرحلة الإعدادية؛ ولتحقيق ذلك تم إعداد قائمة بالمفاهيم الجغرافية المتضمنة بالوحدة، وقائمة بمهارات التفكير الجغرافي والتي اشتملت على خمس مهارات رئيسة: الحصول على المعلومات الجغرافية، وتنظيم المعلومات الجغرافية، وتحليل المعلومات الجغرافية، والتمييز بين الرأي الحقيقة، والتمييز بين السبب والنتيجة. وإعداد دليل المعلم لتدريس وحدة الأخطار الطبيعية بمنهج الدرسات الاجتماعية المقرر على تلاميذ الصف الأول الإعدادي باستخدام الاستراتيجية القائمة على خرائط التفكير والتي تضمنت أربع خطوات: التنظيم، والتلخيص، والاستنتاج والتنبؤ. وبناء اختبار المفاهيم الجغرافية واختبار التفكير الجغرافي. وتكونت عينة الدراسة من مجموعة من تلاميذ الصف الأول الإعدادي بمدرسة الكفراوي بمدينة دمياط الجديدة في الفصل الدراسي الثاني للعام الجامعي 2011م – 2012م، وتقسيمها إلى مجموعتين تجريبية وضابطة بواقع 25 تلميذًا لكل مجموعة. أوضحت نتائج الدراسة وجود تحسّن ونمو في المفاهيم الجغرافية في مستويات: التذكر، والفهم والتطبيق. وكذلك ارتفاع مستوى أداء مهارات التفكير الجغرافي لدى تلاميذ المجموعة التجريبية مقارنة بتلاميذ المجموعة الضابطة، وأن حجم تأثير الاستراتيجية كبير.

This research aimed at investigating how far a teaching strategy based on thinking maps in effective in developing geographic concepts geographic thinking skills of preparatory – stage students. Towards this goal, a list was prepared containing the geographic concepts involved in the target unit as well as a list of the necessary geographic thinking skills. Those geographic thinking skills included five main skills (obtaining, organizing and analyzing geographic information, distinguishing between opinions and facts, as well as between cause and effect. Moreover, a teacher – guide was prepared for teaching the selected unit on Natural Hazards in the Social Studies curriculum of first – grade preparatory – stage students. The intervention strategy was based on the strategy of Thinking Maps which involved four steps: Organizing, summarizing, concluding, and predicting two tests were designed, one for measuring geographic concepts and the other for measuring geographic thinking skills. The sample consisted of first – grade preparatory stage students at Al Kafrawy School in New Damietta for the academic year 2011 – 2012 in the second semester. It was divided into two groups, a control group and an experimental group (25 students each). The research findings revealed significant improvement in geographic concepts and the levels of recall, comprehension and application. Significant improvement was also detected with regard to the experimental group students' performance levels of geographic thinking skills compared to the control group students. The effect size of the strategy was also bigger for the experimental group compared to the control group.
