المستخلص: This study aimed to estimating the most variables affecting the acreage response of wheat in Egypt particularly the investment return. The model used in the study had depended upon the effect of Investment return changes besides the effect of other variables which the study suggested that they affected the cultivated area of wheat. The model of Nerlove, s supply response by distributed lag models and the model of Step-Wise multi regression analysis were used during the period (1985-2002) For the comparison among the estimated models of supply response according to the adjusted R- square to choose the best supply response model. The price of Lentil, winter Onion and winter Tomato were the best one that affect on the acreage supply response, also according the full time period to fulfillment the response, the relative price between Wheat and Lentil, Wheat and winter Tomato were the best variables that affected on the acreage supply for Wheat. The results also indicate that there are positive response to the investment return of Wheat and relative investment return between Wheat and Clove , Wheat and winter Tomato in the previous year.
