هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة مدى إدراك مديري المدارس الحكومية في محافظة جرش مفهوم المساءلة ومدى تطبيقه من وجهة نظرهم، كما سعت إلى تقديم المقترحات التي من شأنها تعميق مفهوم المساءلة، وأهميته لدى كافة العاملين في المؤسسات التربوية، وكيفية التغلب على عوائق تطبيقه. وتكونت عينة الدراسة من مديري مدارس مناطق بلدية المعراض التابعة لمديرية التربية والتعليم في محافظة جرش، والبالغ عددهم (40) مديراً ومديرة تم اختيارهم بطريقة عشوائية للعام الدراسي 2010/ 2011. واستخدم الباحث منهجية البحث النوعي لتحقيق أهداف الدراسة، وتم جمع البيانات باستخدام المقابلة المنتظمة (المقيدة)، وحللت البيانات من خلال تجزئتها إلى موضوعات تم تبويبها في فئات للوصول إلى الأنماط. وكشفت نتائج الدراسة أن مديري المدارس ومديراتها على وعي بمفهوم المساءلة بشكل جيد، وأنهم قاموا بتطبيق المساءلة وفقاً لمعايير وضعوها لأنفسهم استندت إلى القوانين والأنظمة وطبيعة المدارس التي يعملون فيها، كما بينت الدراسة أن هناك نتائج إيجابية انعكس أثرها على مدارسهم نتيجة تطبيقهم المساءلة.
This study aimed to know how to understand the concept of accountability and the extent of its application to the behind public schools in the education of Jerash Govemorate from their point of view, also sought to submit proposals that would further deepen the concept of accountability and its importance for all employees in educational institutions and howto overcome barriers to implementation The researcher used the qualitative research methodology to achieve the objectives of the study, data was collected using the corresponding regular(unrestricted), and analyzed the data by dividing the subjects we reclassified in the categories of access patterns. The results of the study realize that the tied behind the concept of accountability is good, The they have applied The accountability in accordance with the standards The placed base on the laws The regulations and the nature of the school, The also showed that there are positive results on schools. as a result of the application of accountability, The study sample consisted of principals of schoolsin Municipality Almarad which laid at Jerash Govemorate, who are (40) managers of the academic year 2009/2010 were selected at random.
